The Joni Messler Studio of Dance is the official School of the Gainesville Ballet Theatre.

The School maintains a commitment to offer children and adults of all ages a variety of dance courses designed to provide physical and aesthetic benefits unmatched by and other athletic endeavor.

In keeping high standards, and growth as our priorities, our goal is to continue to provide personal attention and training our students are accustomed to receiving.

Curriculum

•  Ballet Creative Movement - Ages 2 1/2 -5
•  Primary Ballet - Ages 5-6
•  Ballet -Ages 7 to Adult (Beginner to Advanced)
•  Pointe -(Beginner to Advanced)
•  Jazz Dance -(Beginner to Advanced)
•  Tap -(Beginner to Advanced)
•  Modern -Ages 12 - Adult
•  Adult Division

Annual Recital

All students will have the opportunity to perform once during the year in the Recital. Participation in the Recital provides a meaningful performance experience, building poise, personality and the ability to conduct oneself in a situation that is both challenging and rewarding. The Recital is held the last weekend in May or the first weekend in June at the Curtis M. Phillips Center on the University of Florida Campus .

Summer Program

Our Special summer program offers all students the opportunity for intensive study in special Workshops with guest teachers and choreographers. Regular classes are also taught during the summer for both children and adults. Students in intermediate and advanced level classes are required to continue with their classes during the summer, either at our studio or with a program approved by Joni Messler Studio of Dance in order to continue with their appropriate level in the fall.
